Many pancreatic cysts are found incidentally on CT or MRI. The first goal is not to jump directly to surgery, but to understand the likely cyst type and whether recognised risk features are present. MR/MRCP can clarify ductal anatomy, while EUS may provide closer assessment of the wall and mural nodules. Sampling is most useful when the result is expected to change management.
